Can't wait to hear your impressions after you get the tempests!!! Just sold' a trailer today in order to afford all of this and I haven't even built one yet! Hopefully I will start the build next weekend and be ordering the tempests and fusion 6s soon! smile.gif

I felt thee same..still had great bass at times..but not as much as you would expect with a t-rex running around..I like the big bass right after the goat leg drops on the car though...that is pretty cool...but you can always bump it up a few notches if you like during those scenes too,haha..anyone else who has blue crush should give that a try too..the big waves are awesome

2) hold off till the end of this week for your finish. Tomorrow I start a new idea I have for finishing. Will know by Friday if it works well and if so I will be offering a different type of flatpack , or if you have the tools you could do it yourself.

Dude, I am going at a snails pace building this sub!! Definitely will wait a while before deciding on how to finish it...

Yeah Tron is pretty crazy. I was listening to movie soundtracks at ear bleedling levels and it came on knocking down paper and my remote slid off my couch arm!

Ldt02 has designed these Marty cubes really well. I went overboard on the bracing to make it stiff as possible and make sure it won't resonate at all...

The only other time I saw Jurassic park was about 10 years ago on dvd and on a 36" tube tv with sony surround. It was pathetic so today with the martys on blu-ray wiht master dts was a whole new experience. Its not just the amount of bass it was more of the in your face sound. Like the T-Rex growls.

Don't sell yourself shorty. The combination of both of you and other others that give input on these and other subs is what these forums are all about. No way would I have every been able to afford store bought subs that could offer the amount of sound these cubes give. I saved up for about a year and a half to come up with enough to get 2 Klipsch subs that where refurbs on newegg. I have never had $1500 subs but have heard from a couple of people here that these put those to shame. So I am happy that my $800 investment sounds as good as the $1500 subs. Also I built these!biggrin.gif

Thank you again LTD02 and Chaluga for your help. I forget I have these until I am upstairs and hear the floor shake when the kids are watching a movie downstairs.

Are you a bass addict when you pull up to a '72 hot rod at a light. You roll your window down and hear the engine. Then you wonder how it would sound thru your sub biggrin.gif

Lol, my kids always forget to turn the sub amp on when they watch movies. Drives me crazy. I feel like grounding them!
Except for my 14 yr old daughter who listens to the latest pop music and figured out where the gain knobs are....I had to dial the trim down in the Avr (she hasn't figured that one out yet) smile.gif

Yeah... I watched it for the first time since it probably came out last week at a friend house.. Not even at home on my own marty cube and it was still great.. Fun to watch again and listen to.. This was with one sub that is the new version of the rw12d.. And just on dvd.. Not blueray

Don't the Inuke Amps have 12v triggers to turn on Automatically when Reciever is turned on ?

Would be awesome if they did, I am surprised they don't and wouldn't be surprised if they change that soon since more and more people are starting to use them for home applications.

Agreed!  I picked up this one at fry's.  if i recall correctly, i think it could handle larger loads than the amazon model.  price was good ( $30 ) , and it was black, which i liked better.

bottom line, works like a charm: )

If I were anywhere near a Fry's (or MicroCenter, for that matter), I'd be broke in no time.

At least this way it's taking me a little time.

lol....for sure.  it takes a lot of discipline to drive by it, and just keep going rather then stop in for a few minutes.

My wife likes to kid around and say to me when we drive by it, and i look at the big red glowing sign....

"there was a long time ago, when you use to look at me that way too..."  hahah!  she is pretty damn funny.

ah! it is almost a perfectly sliding scale up to about 10 cubic feet or so, then it starts to get minimal gains for added size.

here are some options, all at 1100 watts 460ho driver to illustrate.

3.5 cf blue sealed.
5.0 cf tuned 20hz black
7.0 cf tuned 19hz first orange
9.0 cf tuned 18hz second orange
11.0 cf tuned 17hz green

LTD02,

I was looking back at the ported 15" and 18" flat packs I mentioned earlier. If the 18" boxes were netting 6cuft, would it make sense to tune them lower than the 21hz in the MartyCube?
