Looks Awesome! So glad I never answered that PM about building them for you. You did so much better on your own!

And I agree 100%....there is something so addicting about clean bass. You should make another and fill that spot in:)

The Marty design, is amazing when you consider the ease of building it, the low cost, and the performance. John ( ltd02) killed it with his Marty designs...just look at how popular they have become and how happy people are with them.

Do you have an option to spread one of the subs out to a different area of the room?  Might get much smoother response doing so, but not sure maybe you have measured and are nice and smooth with all three up front?  Regardless, congrats.  Output must be amazing.

I suspect they are much more popular than they appear. I have just finished building two for myself (although I didn't post any pictures--I figured we didn't need another Cube build thread) and four more for a friend. I also have some other friends who are currently building at least 8 more cubes who are not AVS members. So yeh, LTD has started something very special. I haven't had a chance to put them through their paces yet but hopefully that will be soon. Oh, and Kevings; great job dude!!!!!

It's a great use of a sheet of mdf. Almost no waste and you use 1.25 sheets. Get those friends who are not avs members to sign up and give us their reflections.

I delivered the four cubes to my friend's place last night and helped him with some basic setup. He has an Anthem Receiver too so we ran ARC and my gawd did that those Cubes kick like a mofo!!! My friend is totally blown away and he hasn't stopped boasting that he finally has more "bass" than I do. His room is about a third smaller than mine and with four cubes it's devastating. His boasts will be short-lived however, since I currently have one full Marty variant and two cubes--plus I have two additional SI 18s just chilling and waiting for some enclosures. I must say though, the Cubes are really easy to build a I kinda like their more manageable form factor despite the fact they give up a couple Hz and a couple dbs down low. I am definitely working on my other buddies to join AVS and be baptized in BASS. Resistance is futile. I hope to run ARC on my own system (with my newly minted cubes) tonight.

Bear,

I thought about that, but really cant based on the layout of the room.  Im hoping to do some measuring tomorrow, but in the past where i use to be able to walk around my room and here stronger/weaker spots when it came to bass.......

Now, I can walk around / sit anywhere, and all i here is strong clean bass.....and that's pretty awesome.

Charvel, this thread is a little bit older so it may not get a lot of viewers.

U may just want to start a new thread ( I'm guessing more people will see it)

Does that mean that FOUR Marty Cubes will perform better than TWO Mini Martys?

LTD,

Chaluga /donny is a teacher, and he discussed the marty with you, a subwoofer teacher......

sounds like 2 teachers have already discussed it to me.

make the wiki happen LTD

We could all contribute. it would be ridiculous and awesome at the same time.

ps- i want to be in there as the first person with a vertical full marty : )

we can then post a link to the wiki, in the "i remember thread" lol.

marty love, all day, everyday!

Kevings, I know this thread is older, but I just read through it and am loving the supports you made for the raising the cubes off the floor. You said you printed them with a 3d printer correct? So they are just made of plastic, or some type of hard rubber? I would love to get a couple sets of those for when my cubes are finished.
