Certainly correct on one hand...but it now sets a precedent for expectations and the product/Behringer can reasonably be held to delivering other identical units to the same performance level?

So Behringer did call. The actual technician who did the work called. he informed me that the repair was upgrading the software/firmware to the inuke 12000 version. He stated that the first batch of amps shipped with incorrect software (he claimed inuke 6000). he says they upgraded to the 12000dsp software and tested the amp and it met spec. I asked about the 100V limiter and he attributed it to the 6000s limiters. I plan on sending the amp back to Brian soon.

Side note, they liked my homemade power cable biggrin.gif

At least there was some progress. I am curious to see what spec actually translates to in the real world.

Actually I have run into similar issues with incorrect firmware in dsp's from some reputable brands on first shipments or early shipments. You never want to be the guinea pig right?!

No problem. Sorry it took so long. I have been absolutely slammed at work and was in Panama for awhile for a large AV project. Hoping to hire some additional help to lighten the load. I need more time for AVS! biggrin.gif

That's a scary concept that you would need to send an amp to another manufacturer to be able to check if it is actually performing as the unit you thought you purchased!

Did you have to pay for shipping?!? rolleyes.gif

I guess other owners should be able to roughly check with a DVM on the output to see if the Voltage is limited back that much. I wonder if they have done anything to alert the customers who purchased these early units?

Shipping was free.

I am not sure if they are sending out alerts on the first batch of 12000s. It would be a good idea but who knows.

So guys, I want to ship the iNuke 12000 back to Brian for confirmation of repair. Can we gather some funds together to do this? Although Brian was gracious enough to pay for shipping the first time, I don't want Brian to foot the bill again. I also have a Peavey IPR7500 I can send if we gather enough funds... smile.gif

Thoughts on this?
