Im sure Brian is busy running a business, but he said that tests should be revealing pretty quick. Amp arrived yesterday.

Prepare to be underwhelmed........

From Brian:

Here is what I found.
1. Same 100V limit on output
2. When checking the DSP settings, noticed the display, buttons knobs etc were all loose. The mounting screws are not tight.
3. Confirmed limit was set all the way up (100%)
4. Power tests all the same as before. about 2700W/2 at 50Hz. Nowhere near 6000W.

That seems odd... how is it even legal to advertise a 12,000 watt amp that produces less than 1/2 of that? I can understand putting out 75-80% of rated power, but 45% of rated power?

~2kw @4ohm per channel, ~1.3kw @8ohm per channel.

Pretty much two bridged ep4k's in one 14lb 2RU case.

Behringer:
1.37kW into 8 Ohms, 2.05kW into 4 Ohms for full-range or mid-top duty

So its limited to 100Vrms or is it 100Vpeak?

Unless I'm missing something, it seems like twice the power of the 6000. I'm not saying I like it, but it seems like par for the course for Behringer....and one of the reasons I'm really looking for an alternative to the nu4-6000

Trouble is if it is limited to 100Vrms then it can deliver no more than 2500W into 4 ohms and half that into 8 Ohms. To me it sounds like a defective unit or a firmware bug.

twice as powerful?

2700Watt / 2 @ 2ohm on the iNuke 12000
or 1,800Watt / 2 @ 4ohm on the iNuke 6000

Seems about like the same amp - just actually capable of 2ohm.

Yup.

Now where it gets interesting is comparing the 12k to the IPR27500 and it's stated power output as they are a similar price.

For reference. Please confirm that it is 2700W into 2 ohm and not 2700W into two channels of unknown impedance?

Two things...

1 - Please confirm Brian also received the IPR 7500 - at least hoping for good news from those tests.

2 - Register and create a post about this debacle over at https://soundforums.net/forum.php
I had issues with my iNuke 6k and posted in one of the threads there. It is common to see Behringer execs post including the CEO Uli Behringer himself.
Had someone assist in a few days after running into a brick wall for almost two weeks trying to get unit serviced.
A lot of pro audio guys there so bad press can and will hurt sales.

All in all rather sad series of events...

Only raised $50. Was only able to cover shipping for the 12k. Couldn't float the $50 for the round trip for the 7500.

I am checking on the power rating. Whether it was 2 ohm or two channels....

Yeow!
Time for a SpeakerPower group buy?

Seems like a great product, just priced out of the range (especially since price increase a while back) of most of the DIY community that has other alternatives that aren't too far off performance-wise?
