Front baffle on tomorrow night and routing the cutout. If I have time I will hit it up with that nice corinthian leather stain I have :P

Coming up on a full day of no posts...Thank you Jim Wilson for making a nice and clean thread dirty...... j/k smile.gif

Added a few more braces on the box and got the front baffle on. PL is drying tonight and tomorrrow I will have the box ready to flush trim and route the speaker cutout. The pics don't do any justice to how big this thing is, and the cutout doesn't help really, just keep in mind that circle you see is a 22.5" cutout!!!!! WOW Jasper Jig has nothing on that biggrin.gifbiggrin.gif

Little trick for finding the braces, drop a little wood glue on them and lay the baffle down. Pull it back off, flip it and pre drill the holes where you see glue. Wipe it off, sand real quick to take off the excess and then when you are ready to flip it back over, you know exactly where to screw into the braces smile.gif

Looks like we are going to have some fine weather for the weekend too guys!!!!

Nice trick for finding the braces!

I have had mutliple calls about the mounting depth of the HS 24. Most of the people anticipate a certain depth but then when I tell them the mounting depth is over 13" deep they say...well...the name of the woofer. cool.gif

Brace finding trick is cool. So long as you drop the baffle on perfectly where it needs to go. Other sie you may be off slightly. I did tyour method with a much smaller baffle and it worked perfectly. BUT with that massive baffle by myself I would be off.

And seeing that baffle it does look huge. eek.gif

Get back from vacation and see this GTG. Awesome. I would love to come but I have to swap schedules and will be working nights all weekend. Everyone enjoy and take pics and video for those of us that can't make it. Beast, looking forward to a beer in a month or so! See ya.

Andrew, when are you headed out?

I booked a room last night, a little further out than I wanted but comfy. I plan on leaving on Friday at the roosters crow. Still deciding on if I drive around or take the ferry to Delaware.

I had some help from my better half to drop the baffle down perfectly, otherwise I don't think there is a chance I could have done it near as well.

Yessir! I am ahead of schedule on the box so far, and I re-adjusted the PJ last night so the lens adjustment is at the (almost) very bottom, so hopefully during spirited movie clip listening, we wont knock the shift around as much and have the image fall half off the screen smile.gif

Tonight is my bro's birthday dinner, along with hopefully completing the box and a little more messing around in the basement. Got the rest of the house in pretty good order, so we should be almost all good to go!

So you are driving, Dave!

Smells like an opportunity to get Ben (rush) and Adam (Sibuna) to tag along!!!

Andrew, Chop and NathanJ will be staying at my house Thursday night. All my guests get the 5 star treatment, but Reveille in the Haylock household is 0330 hours. SHARP!

I really hope nobody minds but I asked Brandon earlier if I could bring the 60's down and give a listen in his room and try and relive the magic I heard that made me jump to buy the SM60's. I have had them for sale for some build cash and would like to hold off selling them and A&B them in the new theater when complete. I did not get the same experience in my current room than I did at Andrews.

I have decided to do most of the work myself on the theater build and that now has freed me up cash wise so I can hang on to the little guys. My builder started to play games and then he added almost 10K to the final purposal and I pulled the plug. The dumpster just arrived a little while ago this morning, so I have some running around to do today and I am going to get to demolition tonight. I hope to be framing on Monday. Considering I have never built anything, this is going to be interesting redface.gif

Ya'll show up that early, you'll have to find a bit of time before I can leave the office smile.gif If that is the case though, you should just drive right into town, and go straight to Wicked Weed (brewery downtown) and get started without me. Fair warning though, just a beer or two of some of their offerings will put you on your A$%.....

Epic. Only way it could be more epic is if we came surfing in on the party RV....

Jake and I should be leaving my place around 6PM-ish tomorrow night to head down to the ULF-tard land. biggrin.gif As Austin says we'll be leaving at the CRACK on Friday moanin' or more accurately late Thursday night. biggrin.gif

I'm bringing my laptop and one of my Peavey IPRs along to play with.
