My old version used to do that, new one 0.7.0.900 on W7/64 is fine.

It wasn't at all obvious how to download it, I just klutzed through and did it by accident, wish I could tell you how.

Same thing happened with me (yesterday, when I started playing with it for the first time). I just rebooted.

I'm not home, so I can't get you the version number, but it can check for updates from within the program.

Make sure you get the "pro" version.

I've always had the same issue. I just Ctrl+Alt+Del, go to Task Manager, click on WinISD and End Task. All done. Just save your stuff first.

http://www.linearteam.org/download/winisd-07x.exe

Previous versions were compiled with the now-defunct free version of Borland Delphi. It has since been ported to the open-source Lazarus development system and its code is compatible with Windows UAC (introduced in Vista and continued thereafter).

Edit: They seem to have abandoned their website and forum completely, but the link above can be found on their Facebook page (as previously posted).

W7 if you have W7 or 8. You need to run whatever you have in the correct compatibility mode.
