Folks,

I have 5 channels of Neumann KH310 (3 way active, with total 290W) with MOTU Ultralite MK3 as my "Sound Card". Source is a PC playing FLAC files from a hard-drive.

I'm looking to build a Sealed Dual opposed 12" sub with balanced inputs (XLR) and 220v power source (although a broad range 110-220v amp would also be great).
I'd rather not go to 15" or 18" drivers (for which I see many existing designs) - I think they will be too heavy for me to carry without additional freight charges.
If there are any existing designs pl. let me know - as they didn't come-up in my search...

I'm now in the US and so I can order a couple of drives and amps to take with me to India and build the cabinets there...

Pl. recommend the best 12" drivers and amps with balanced inputs...
What is the minimum / optimum cabinet volume required and the suggested dimensions...

My budget is $2000 including cabinets... and my main goal is low distortion down to 20Hz. The SPL is not as big a factor as good, clean distortion free high fidelity to the original signal...

Thanks folks for all your responses and help...

Maybe check out the custom kits from Rythmik audio. Seems like they would be just what your looking for. Scroll to the bottom to see the dual opposed option.

Not dual opposed but the amp does have switchable voltage.

This will also do 230.

Crown XLS drive core amps can also do 220.

He needs two.

I was thinking 2 kits with 2 plate amps.
