it's your mic clipping, not your sub. Is your mic volume at 100%? Make sure to follow a good REW guide for set-up.

I can't tell if that graph look good or not...your vertical scale is set to 20db increments when it should be 5db.

Please follow the guidelines I posted above and re-post the graph.

That being said, it looks like you've got a pretty good dip between 40-55hz. Looks to be around 10db or more....that's not good as that is right where the "meat" of the mid-bass lies.

RE: clipping - are you running REW with HDMI or with the legacy analog connections? If legacy, how exactly do you have your PC connected to your AVR? Did you calibrate the SPL before your REW session? You have an SPL meter, right?

Are these with Audyssey? Do you have Audyssey?? If so, is this with Dyn EQ on or off?

If you can move subs that is the best way to remove nulls. If you can't do that then put a neg peq of 8 at 39hz with q of 2 and -5 at 53hz q if 2.

Ooops, you beat me to it with the 5db steps.

I tried moving the subs and it did not help much, if any. I confirmed a 14db loss from 39hz to 44hz with the spl meter..kinda bummed out. It still sounds great, but now i know it could be better. Nothing i can really do about that.

I put in Donny's suggestion with settings and it did not really improve much, or get worse.

Yup, that's a null. Have you tried measuring a foot or so in front or behind the MLP? I bet you'll get drastically different readings.

Do you have a pic or diagram of your room you could share?

I had a 10db null at 80hz with two subs up front. I like my subs xo at 110hz so it sucked. When I added my third sub nearfield it got rid of null completely. Now I can feel the midbass better.

Nearfield can be a micro-cube which can double as an end table.

Update, still loving this system...its like a whole new world out there when listening to the same movie compared to the old system.

My wife is out of town and the kids are at grandmas. Before she left she asked that when she comes home that all windows are intact and that our foundation has not crumbled..lol..movie suggestions?

GOT DAMN YOU! Have been planning building a table to double as bass absorber, but now I'm thinking table with two 18" woofers along each side and the middle as bass absorber!!! Time for research & Sketchup!

Yeah I am loving it. I watched Godzilla last night and there was plenty of rumble in that movie. I know the movie is getting some crap over on the master bass list, but my couch was vibrating through a good portion of that movie. I started the movie at -10db and ended up finishing it at -17db...love my system. Now I just have to save up for a projector and screen.

Just watched Pulse for the first time last night. My wife hates scary movies so I said lets watch this..When the server room scene came on she said to me, " this is the only reason you bought this movie isn't it"..I laughed.. Then she said out of all the movies you pick this one because of that scene..She asked how I even found out about it..I pointed her to the forum..lol

Well, I am in the process of trying to convince my wife to let me build 2 more. But instead these would be end tables and not as big. 1 for each side of the couch. As of now she said we are getting enough structural damage to the house as it is..lol...

I watched Earth to Echo and the bass was crazy. The end was just nuts, I actually thought my house was going to fall in on me.

Still loving these. So glad people talked me into building my own vs buying one. Not sure anything compares, I know I wouldn't have been able to get this type bass with the one on the market with what I spent to build these.

I think I am going to attempt to make them this spring or summer. Just going to tell the wife I am making some nice tables. She just won't know there will be subs under those end tables..lol..

I really would like to put up a projector and motorized screen. Not sure it would look good though.

Good luck with the table disguise - go for it! I can actually prove that it is possible.
Several years ago my wife asked where I found that unique pub table in the back of our theater room. Several weeks went by before she realized it was a modified SVS cylinder sub.

Hey guys I meant to ask this question earlier. When I was watching Edge of Tomorrow, I got to -16db on the receiver. When I played it, it sounded as if the sub started to slap, almost like it was knocking off of something. I muted it right away, but is there a setting in the iNuke6000DSP that I could put in to prevent this. I feel these subs should be able to go lower the -16db on the receiver. My sub trim was set to 0 also. Now I know that is a brutal scene and my subs have never done that since. But just wondering how to prevent it in the future if I were to try and play my system louder. Right now just listening at 20-15db knocks things down around me and is plenty loud, but you will always want more in the future.
Robert
