That's what I was thinking.

What's with the over reacting?

Post what needs to be fixed with enough information that they can figure it out without having to ask several followup questions.

Samsung 64F8500, Panasonic 65VT50, Oppo 95, Tivo Roamio for OTA, Dish VIP722, Marantz AV8801 preamp, Rotel Amps, Atlantic Tech 8200 speakers, Seaton Submersive HP, Calman 5, Chromapure, Accupel DVG-5000, i1Display3pro, i1pro2, eecolor colorbox.

I've also lost the ability to modify or attach any of my youtubes.

As you can see it's all messed up->

The width and height of the editor is also WAY TOO SMALL.

That and getting large images directly attached to the screen instead of thumbnails is a pain now.
Thumbnail systems are old school for 56K modem users, but it would be great to have the option to choose both image attachment methods with a checkbox... but now I'm just being picky.

Also the thread comment-preview on the forum sections was kind of handy, I used it a LOT, but it's gone now which slows me down by 1000%

and my attached thumbnail is empty.
Working on the editor width, will post once it's fixed.

Mark

Edit: The code issue you are seeing is being looked into by Huddler.

Someone needs to give you guys some cheese.

I understand when something is new, things won't be perfect and you will have bugs and missing features but to wine about quitting the site on the first day it's up is udderly ridiculous.

Ok I've figured out how to get it back to normal. Basically you just go tools>my subscriptions. It orders all the newest posts after yours there. Then click the arrow beside the name of the thread and it takes you to first unread post like before. It's just one extra click going into tools>my subscriptions instead of just clicking your username.

I agree. I used the subscriptions button exclusively. Turns out I am not getting any email notices of new posts either.

Hi guys,

I am sorry I was asleep by the time the new forum launched (I get up at 4:30 AM), so I missed a lot of the early complaints.
Quote:
Not sure what the reasoning was for changing formats... Why fix what wasn't broken to begin with?
That is the same thing people said when we switched to Huddler a few years back. And that launch was a MUCH bigger mess than this one.

All of the mods and some carefully chosen volunteers tested the site out in a sandbox before launching it, but regardless of how much stuff we tested, there were bound to be things that we missed. The people from vB, as well as the admins and mods, are working hard to get bugs sorted out and fixed, so please cut them a little slack and be patient. ALL reports are taken seriously and will be resolved in time!

I started hanging out in the DIY forum a while back and found this to be the most friendly and helpful area of the entire forum - please prove me right by being helpful and reporting bugs to the right place, here:

http://www.avsforum.com/forum/43-for...come-back.html

I am sure that everyone will be very happy once all of the kinks have been worked out.

Edit: Ok, the quote tags are not working correctly...they were working fine in the sandbox...

I've been through various forum upgrades and the bugs are a given. I expect them and just wait for them to get ironed out. However the format..that is something intended and is anticipated to stay. And I think it feels....weird. (analogy time) It's like an editor created a font and style template and ****ed up the kerning, paragraph and line spacing hardcore.

Not sure what you mean by that, but it always takes a little time to get all the details right... I think people are overreacting quite a bit this morning, just give the admins some slack...

Wow guys, please don't bail on this great forum just because of a rough transition!

Think of what we have been through. The good times, the bad times. We laughed and cried and we made it through...together.

Please, don't throw it all away! Give it some time, lets talk and work it out. Things will get better I promise and in the end we will be more in love than we began. Just stick with it.

And as always, I am here for you. I care and I mean it.

You can participate in both forums if you so choose. "And" is usually better than "or." As Vertical Scope noted, both forums are on the same platform now.
