Thumbs down I'm retiring from AVS. New AVS upgrade sucks that BAD!

I can't do anything with this forum now. Pretty much all my posts and threads are broken and useless.

AVS is now unusable and useless.
The editor sucks, that bad...

If they don't revert it back or make something better within a week or so, I'm gone. Couldn't be bothered.

It bugs me even more so, because I'm a software developer.
AVS is now like a rusty Mercury hatchback to me when I spend all day building new Lamborghini's.

It's too much pain... I just can't, I just won't.

I'm out's...

Lol I feel ya Bass!! I think there is a bunch of stuff the Admins are working on to fix. Put your requests in the other thread and hopefully those issues can be resolved. Hopefully you stock around, I do enjoy reading your threads even tho I do not post in them much.

As a developer you might get that we are asking for bug reports to help expedite the process of repairing your user experience on here. It would help me a lot to know what exactly the issue is with your account.

Well, I'm severely missing the button/link to get the list of threads that I've posted in. That's been my MOST used function around here... Given the amount of posts being made around here, I won't find what I want to without it, so please put it back!

Under construction:

For the moment please click on your username in any post you have already made, you will see a drop down that has the option to show you your posts. Works for any user on the site. Alternately you can look to the top of the page where there is a Welcome, and your name. Click that and pick statistics to see threads and posts you have made.

I don't want to see MY posts. I want to see if there's been any new activity in any of the threads I've posted in. So I want a list of threads sorted on latest activity.

So I'm guessing that we can no longer subscribe to threads and see when a new post has been posted in those threads? .....LOL I use to love the fact that AVS wasn't like all of the other forums. You can't even click on the smilies and have it pop up in your post, WTH!...lol

Of course it would be nice to be able to size the pictures like we could in the past, instead of having a tiny little attachment picture.

We are working on a getting bigger thumbnails for the attached images. That takes a little time to set up. If you have any more trouble with laying out images in a post please pm me for help.

Sure, but then I cannot reserve the subscriptions for just a few favorites as I could before...

And will changing to automatic subscriptions work retroactively? So that any thread I've written in becomes subscribed, or will it just become so from now on? That would mean I probably will not find a number of threads again.

I don't like that I cannot mouse over the last response in a thread and see the beginning of the post...and it seems more difficult to go to the last post.

Also, I cannot refresh the forum from the bottom of the page..have to go back to the top?

I also seem to be quoting people I did not intend to quote.

To get to the last post you left off at look for the little arrow near the thread title. The mouse over for a preview I will look into.

If you are on a keyboard for now to get to the top of the page you can tap the home button. Alternatly "ctrl R" or F5 will do the trick on most browsers as well as a right click of the mouse with selecting reload to refresh the page. If you are on a mac I suspect command R might do the trick but I don't own any apple products personally.

If I post in a subscribed thread then click on my 'user cp' that thread has disappeared. It doesn't reappear until after someone else has posted in it. Why can't we go with the traditional vBulletin we're all use to and familiar with?

Thank you. For the record, this thread disappeared in my 'user cp' until you just posted in it.

Update: When clicking on 'user cp' the most recent posted in threads disappear. Clicking on 'list subscriptions' in the left hand column restores them.

I'm having this problem in advanced mode.

I'm trying to update a few old images that I posted and the editor collapses all the white space (and I haven't even changed the content yet).

The preview is rendering raw HTML. (So I can't preview it).

I've also lost the ability to modify or attach any of my youtubes.

As you can see it's all messed up->

The width and height of the editor is also WAY TOO SMALL.

That and getting large images directly attached to the screen instead of thumbnails is a pain now.
Thumbnail systems are old school for 56K modem users, but it would be great to have the option to choose both image attachment methods with a checkbox... but now I'm just being picky.

Also the thread comment-preview on the forum sections was kind of handy, I used it a LOT, but it's gone now which slows me down by 1000%

and my attached thumbnail is empty.
