the TV stand i did was prob the same size and it only took 80% of the normal sized can. it was 60x30x30, open front and back but it had 3 shelves. I suspect this will have a similar area to cover

Fun quotes from this weekend:

Gorilla: Hands Sibuna the air nailer. "Here you go."
Sibuna: "Nah, you better do that, I haven't used one before."
Gorilla: Shows Sibuna the gun and says "It's easy, give it a try."
Sibuna: Gets blasted by a shot of air in the face on the first shot (exhaust from the nailer), then smiles. Then proceeds to shoot 200+ nails into the box like madman, lol.

Good times.

Dude, will be watching your process on getting that nice finish. I quit trying on my surround test box as it looked absolutely terrible after working on the poly. Just awful. Sanded back down to 220 and painted it flat black...Haha. Make sure and document your sanding/staining/poly process

Sibuna,

the color on that tv stand is so deep / gorgeous looking. Nice job.

The 24 looks devilish on its own, but in the enclosure with that same color applied, it's also going to look classy as well.

more pics, asap: )

PS: I stole you guys' [the inital clan at Beast's GTG] idea about using zip ties to pick up the 24. Now I include a zip tie in each screw hole opening when I ship out the 24's. It makes life SO much easier!

Oh yes, zip ties are a life saver for me - and that's for 18" drivers. They are a must with that 24" beast if you want to keep all your fingers!!

I hate this thread. Naaa, I hate the SI 24. I'm having trouble resisting the urge to buy one before the price increase.

Great work so far. I want to hear one of these bad!

And this is why I include a zip tie in each of the screw hole openings in the basket now. We have crates, boxes, a completely screwed down woofer, eight zip ties, a plastic bag to protect the woofer, etc, now included with each 24. I think we have it covered now.
