Was considering building something full range with these. Going to see how they model soon and maybe toss an seos15 or something up top. Might also just end up using em for sub duty. Will see.

I'm using these or my sdx15 as the low end for a 3 way using the TD12m and seos 12 for the top.

Two 675L horns will get you >130dB before power compression losses with these drivers from 30-150Hz, under Xmax. Eight gets you 142dB. Not bad for a backyard system.

ebay 4 ohm vs normal 6 ohm. 4 ohm in red.. sealed and ported plotted. sealed in 2 cubes, ported in 3 cubes tuned to 35hz. 800w to sealed, 1000w to ported.
These model pretty nice.

And in a 4 cubic foot box...

Looks like I'm going to build a 6 cubic foot enclosure for this, tuned to 34hz. Will setup a 4th order or steeper 28hz butterworth highpass filter. This is how it models with 800w. Red is ebay 4ohm, other is 6 ohm standard. Will use two of the PE 6" ports or more likely a slot port since it doesn't cost anything.

I'm not exactly sure where this is going yet, but will post build plans. This will be a music only sub for my garage.

Looks fun, these are a treat. Using PVC as ports is my favorite lately: routes nicely for a big flare and is cheap. I think it's easier than slots, looks good, and is fun to build. But, you get free bracing with slots. The 28hz filter is still ok with a Fs of 34?

excursion graph above is with 28hz 4th order. 30 might be a little happier.

Lab 15

The specs of these ebay Lab 15's look like they might work well in a Klipsch LaScala type bass bin. I'd like to use them up to 250 hz with a Synergy horn above. What do you guys think?

Keep in mind, these are higher fs and different specs than original lab15s.

I think I'm going to do 27 hz tune, 5.5 cu ft box, 25 hz 2nd order HPF, each one ran off of my two spare channels of my inuke nu4-6000 that does exactly 600 watt rms (that were reserved for my Tempests, but I'll just keep using those off my receiver)

looking good...can't wait to get mine. It was very opportune timing as I was just about to order a pair of those infinity reference 1262w's. I think these will have a "tad" more oomph and for not a whole bunch more money. I think they look a lot nicer to boot

I like the look, but the foam wears out faster than the rubber surrounds. It's definitely not a deal breaker. I guess most of the ones that have started cracking and falling apart on me have been 15-20 years old. I will probably have them swapped out long before that.

I really like the flat dust cover. That and the cone are pretty beefy material. I ran some 20hz tones on each for about 15 minutes and they function well and are both good to go for a day of break in.
