Need Infinite Baffle Sub advice

I am working on finishing up my basement and need advice on speaker placement and what DIY Sub to get for my room. I (meaning my wife) would really like the sub to be under the stairs (front left of the room). I am very handy with wiring and moderate woodworking skills. Need advice on the best way to go about having a hidden sub in this room. Thank you in advance for your advice and help. Area under the stars is 10'2" by 7'11" with the first run hgt of the stairs being 52 3/8" and the second run hgt being 59 7/8". Stairs are 3'11 1/2 wide.

Room 12'x8'x20'2" and the wall by the stairs is 10'2":

My Current system:
4x Pioneer SP-FS52-LR - Front Left/Right and Middle Left/Right
2x Pioneer SP-BS22-LR - Back Left/Right
1x Pioneer SP-C22 Pioneer SP-C22 - Center
120" Projector Vapex Fixed Projector Screen with BenQ W1070 projector ceiling mounted
TASCAM - PAR200 - 7.2 CHANNEL SURROUND RECEIVER RS232 - Receiver
Behringer NU1000 iNUKE Power Amplifier - Sub Amp

Thinking of using the following, but looking for advice on what is best, even if it's not what I have listed. Budget ~400-500
Dayton Audio RSS390HO-4 15" Reference HO Subwoofer 4 Ohm or
SI HT 15" D4 subwoofer

I'm using the same dayton sub in a ported box called micro-cube . Its 21" cube. You will get big improvement of spl in 20 to 40hz range.

Could I somehow put the sub under my stairs or even build it into the wall there?
