They have been selling them for many months. I think they are fine suppliers. Have heard a few others buying stuff from them from other car audio forums.
Nice deals. I'm considering 2x SI 15 for a microcube. Assuming an inuke3000 - the SI's can make better use of the power available because of the 2 ohm option. Looks like they outperform the HO across the board SPL wise, although it is only a 1-2 db gap. This doesn't hold true if you actually have an amp that can put 1000 watts into 4 ohms. At that point, the HO is better.
Two things scare me. First, they don't disclose what the cosmetic damage is. Second, 30 day warranty only. But that's why they are cheap. It is what it is.
Maybe call them and ask for a bit more info in regards to what would qualify them as B stock.
The free shipping part is great. Might actually make it worth ordering one to try out.
I'm sure it's repairable if it died... you are just on your own. Nick is a stand up guy I'm sure you could figure out how to get it repaired at a fair price IF it needed years down the road. The lack of warranty does not bother me, that is why it's cheaper. Besides it's not exactly like you see these failing all the time here, and they are quite popular. Just power it and use it properly, you'll be all set.
its powering 4 Ht18's at them momoent. I have a inuke3k not in use. Maybe I could do 4 15's in a sealed box and give them 550rms each? Nick says not to give them more than 600 anyways. Its short money right?
Is this a reputable website/supplier? When i clicked on the link i got a pop up note that said i need to click on some "allow cookies " thing to continue viewing the site, and I don't really feel comfortable doing that. I would be up for ordering at least one or two of those SI 18's at only $143 each as that is a steal!
I just want to ensure that this is a reputable site and that by clicking on their "allow cookies" thingy I won't get a virus, or any other add on crap that could be harmful or cumbersome to remove.
I priced out a couple of subs with them and it was going to be about $45 shipping on each driver mind you this was the price to have them sent to Canada. I wish I would have saw this a month ago, my system would be taking a very different direction.....
Honestly at these prices Its making me thinking of swapping over to all sealed subs and just adding 6 more or so. Boxes are small enough and using something like a peavey 7500 could run 8 of them easily.
I figured I couldn't pass up on this and snagged an 18" too. Assuming the transaction goes well, I'll grab another to round out my build.
I did give them a call. The number is Michigan - I'd expected North Carolina given where Sundown/SI are located. Anyway, the guy I talked to said 99% of the drivers had minor things you'd never notice unless you were looking for them. Glue drips, scuffs, and the like. I'm cool with that.
Well basically it is just scuffs on the bottom of the magnet, most likely from assembly. Im talking super super light scuffs which is probably normal to be honest. So in all reality its in perfect condition..
