Posted this is the amp section and my post was lost on page 3 almost instantly so i figured id post in here also, but im wondering how you do audyssey calibration with this setup. Im assuming(makes most sense to me) that you would basically have everything off on the inuke besides gain adjustment, run audyssey and then adjust the PEQ to your liking via ear or with REW... im sure im probably wrong, but thats why im posting
I've always had the most success doing all of the heavy lifting first with the EQ, and then running Audyssey afterwards and having it do the fine tuning.
No. I've tried both and confirmed with REW afterwards. Running Audyssey post EQ has always given me the smoothest overall response. YMMV however, so try it both ways and see which you prefer.
Audyssey doesn't know the inuke dsp is involved. It just listens to what you have and tries to flatten it out.
You can always go back to the dsp afterwards to add some preference adjustments. Although that doesn't work too good if you have multiple subs and you are only using dsp on one of them.
I personally wouldn't touch Audyssey if I had the Inuke DSP.
If you are talking about the subs, I find it had to believe it can do better (except maybe delay) then what you can do with a mic and REW.
I've tried using Pioneer's equivalent MCACC and it always ends up making things sound worse.
For speakers, your placement, room, and reflections / wall treatments would be more beneficial then messing with EQ, especially with a nicely designed speaker that is already has good power, and off axis response,.
Audyssey does fine when touching up the fine details. I personally have never had success with Audysseys sub implementation either, hence the 4x10 in my rack.
