bridged crown xls?

I'm interested in building a diy sub soon. Hoepfully. I already have a crown xls 1500 and plan on using it to power it. Anyway, could I use a 4 ohm driver with it? I see it does list 1550w at 4 ohm bridged, but will it struggle with that load? In bridged mode, 8 ohm is 1050w and 4 ohm is 1550w I believe.

Should run fine in bridged at 4 ohms. It'll run at 2 ohms per channel non bridged.

I'm running one right now in 4 ohms, hasn't had a single problem. It has been a great amp for me.

I'm using 2 individual crown xls 1500. Each powering a separate 15" Ultimax sub. No problems

Denon 4311CI, Panasonic 8000 w/ 130" AT Screen
DIY QSC SC-2150 Clone L,C,R sr-8101 heights
DIY (4) Fusion Tempest
DIY (2) Ultimax 15 "Sub's
Dayton MK4 & B&W ASW 855 15", (2) SI 18 subs.

Good to hear!! Now I just have to decide what to do. I'm leaning towards sealed si 18. Total cost would be about $400. If ported I like the lab 15,but that pushes it closer to $500 and a little more effort on the build. Either one would squash the 10" hsu I currently use. I don't think output will be a problem with sealed in my 2300 cu ft room.
