Quick wiring question

I am fixing to order 2 alpine sws 15's in order to build 2 Lilwreckers. I'm going to be selling my diy Dayton 18 HO's as long as I like the Lilwreckers.

My question is I need to know about the wiring. I'm thinking I should order the D2 version so that they individually will be a 4 ohm load. Then I can wire them to together to one channel as a 8 ohm load?

Is my thinking correct on this? I'm ordering as soon as I double check this?

Thank
Russ

You have it right.

2 DVC 2ohm/vc subs can be .5ohm 2ohm or 8 ohm final load. But not 4ohm.

for 8ohm:
Wire all 4 coils in series, daisy chained together. +to- for 3 jumpers 1 of them bridging the gap between the 2 subs. Plus the 2 wires coming from the amp hooked to the correct terminals, 1 wire per sub on the correct polarities. Positive to positive on sub1 negative to negative on sub2.

Ideally you run dvc speakers in series then parallel the multiple speakers, but it will work fine. ie getting a 2 ohm load from 2 d2's by running each speaker in series to 4ohms then in parallel back to 2ohms is ideal.

Thanks. I thought I was right but wanted to make sure.
