How about eleven 11's?

Wait... no. That's an odd number. I hate odd number amount of subs.

Better move on up to twelve 12's. That will make me feel better.

Just a sick little beast.

Why waste $ on more cheap stuff, it's like challenging a dragon with a pocket knife.

Nope, I forgot to link it last night. Here are two completed pictures:

The OD of the enclosure measures 14"x14"x22".

No, it's all good! You just put 10 of them around the room and then one right smack underneath your seat!

Uuuuuggghhhhhh!!!

Better be just one, single chair. At this point that is the only excuse I'm willing to accept.

I posted a shot of the response down to 10 Hz last night. That shot was without any EQ below 20 Hz. I'll lower the range of the mic again this weekend and take some more screen shots.

I would have thought a home theater room would have been a must have for home shopping
I'm that small room those 11s would pound. A pair of those dual opposed in a 2000 cuft living room would be cool.

Quick video of the DO HST-11's throwing down a little bit today. You can hear me asking my 2.5 year old son what he was doing in the background, haha.

PS: Does anyone know the code to link YouTube videos on here so the video shows up? Not just the link like above?

Nope, the guy that builds the 24 gets to run his subs 30db hot if he wants to! Sounds about right to me.

Ha, I thought that was just the noisefloor of his room... Guess the 2k peak would indicate otherwise.

When my A/C is kicking my noise floor is like 68db.

Would the HXT11 work well in a ported box? Maybe do a triple stacked ported enclosure for 6 of them? I am debating on getting ride of my HT18s and going with a less Room filled look? Sadly I cant use WinISD anymore. I wonder how they would model 6 HXT11 vs 12 HT18?

I keep hearing that the port would be too long. I want to try wrapping the port around the outside of the box or even some crazy long external port. My question would be, what happens when the port has more volume than the cabinet itself? How does that affect the model or actual performance?

The port would be HUGE. In 1.0 ft^3 tuned properly (around 19 Hz) the 6" round port needed to cope with the displacement would be around 18 FEET (213 inches) long.

Haha, I'm actually getting tired of saying the same thing over and over again about these 11's - SEALED ONLY!!

At 18 ft. I could port it to another room and turn off the air conditioning for the summer and run the first 30 secs. of edge of tomorrow on a loop.

Most high excursion, low Vas drivers are awful for ported for more than one reason.

That's why God invented passive radiators but nobody like to build with them around here. Too many underported stuff in these parts.

I think LTD pointed out an Earthquake Sounds PR that matched up well enough to the HST11. Wasn't that expensive either. Seems like the trick would be keeping it from dancing across the room.

Awesome!!!

Any idea what the performance difference would be if they were stacked in that enclosure?

If what was stacked inside the enclosure? There's no more room for additional drivers in that box.
