Definitive Technologies Powerfield 18"

Long time lurker here.

I bought a definitive technologies powerfield 18 subwoofer a month back. Around 20Hz to 25Hz there is a noise similar to a rattling. The subwoofer was removed and the following were checked:

-Voice coil is not separated
-pushing on the cone revealed no rubbing noise, or any node for that matter (sub was off obviously)
-ran a bead of pl375 along every box joint
-ran a bead of silicone where the amp mates to the box and in the gasket gaps on the subwoofer prior to reinstallation.
-tightened the speaker interconnect bracket since it seemed a bit loose (sympathetic resonance vibration?)
-ran a very thin bread of super glue around the dust cap (since it's 18" I did not think a couple of grams would affect anything)

My question is this: if the problem persists (I have to wait 48 hours for the pl375 to dry), then would a stereo integrity ht18 be a model replacement? The amp on the Powerfield is rated at 500watts, which is less than the 600watt maximum on the ST, however I'm more worried about the low end. I bought the Powerfield since it's rated to 13hz, and I'd rather not lose low end.

In the future I'd like to build a sonotube sub, which the stereo integrity would be a good fit.

Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!
