New MartyCube Build, help needed

Short and sweet. If anyone could send me down the right path, i would greatly appreciate it. I want a new sub for my downstairs tv room. 17x19x8' is the size of my room. I want to stick with a marty cube build but what to go with? 15 ultimax or something else with iNuke 3000dsp? DA SP1000? Just need something that will sound great in my room and not wanting more (realistically). Hell, for the last 2 years, Ive thought my JBL Sub12 sounded good. Budget for components is around 500
Short and simple, what do i do with the marty cube box?? go!

Thanks in advance

For a budget sub buy a Stereo Integrity HT-18 D-4 with a Inuke 3000 DSP amp. I would suggest a better sub but you do have a 500$ budget. If you buy a 15" sub it will be hard to fill the room and also with a single 18" sub. You really need to increase your buget some more and get 2 18's in there. Do a search for the Marty box you won't go wrong. There's also flat packs that you can buy to for the sub.

I don't know if the d4 is the best idea in a smallish ported cab. 460ho may be a better choice. p.e. has coupons this weekend.

Since the specs changed on the SI HT 18, have you done modeling to see how it compares to the HO in the Marty cube now?

Thanks, Dr. H

that's with about 1,000 watts into each.
red rss460ho martycube
green 18htd4 martycube
blue 18htd4 4 c.f. sealed

that's how it shakes out with these numbers. it's not like it won't work or anything, just isn't really optimized imho.

i'm not sure if they are 100%, but that's what i've got at the moment. if there is another update, i'll change the chart. here is the measurement.

and those are reasonably consistent with what matt (mtg90) posted:
Anyone have an accurate SI 18" 4ohm VC winISD file ?

The 460 does look better I keep forgetting the specs have changed in the ht-18. I wonder why SI. Changed the specs on it and what changed on the sub from before?

I don't think the specs were changed, but they were finally measured by third parties. SI continues to only list the specs for the D2 version. http://stereointegrity.com/product/h...specifications
