Is this mineral wool ok as subwoofer insulation?

Been spending hours trying to figure out if regular old polyfill really is just as good as fiber glass or Acousta-Stuff or Mineral Wool.

I've seen some response graphs showing benefits of Mineral Wool over polyfill. So I'm really intrigued by the mineral wool.

The cheapest and easiest way to get mineral wool seems to be this from Home Depot for those of us outside Canada.

Now is 3" thick Mineral Wool to thick for a 4.3 cubic ft enclosure? (Volume before bracing)

Also does it matter that it's branded as Safe n Sound for sound dampening? Instead of the typical Roxul ComfortBoard or Comfortbat

I have had a couple of sub with that in them. No problem. I don't how you determine how much stuff to use for that.

I used the 3" safe n sound for my ported cabs. About 50% coverage. I did a sweep with REW with and without the insulation and it made little difference.

I would use something else if i had to do it over as Roxul is hard to glue to wood.
