Waveguide has screw holes for mounting, you just screw it in. It would look nicer flush mounted into that kind of baffle but it does not need to be.

I am going to stick to that width but as mine are not on the floor it will be with the woofer as low as possible, the horn section directly above it and the slot at the top. I presume this is a different slot section/length vs the round ports included in the kits?

Edit: the slot is 45,7 cm x 6,35 cm = 290 cm2 while two 4" ports add up to only 162 cm2

Edit 2: the slot, the woofer and the mid/high horn section eat about 2 cuft. The biggest suggested net volume: 6 cuft. My screen height is 140 cm. Plus bracing and external panels this means for me a box of 140 x 49,5 x 42 cm (H 55" x W 19.5" x D 16.5"). I will post a design later. This is for the center speaker behind the AT screen as the L&R will be made with an angle so I need CAD to work it out.

Building a 9.3.4 HT: DIYSG Titan LX [LCR] • Cinema 10 Max [6 Surrounds] • Beta 10CX custom [TF+TR] • LLT Mal-x 18" subs [2] • XPR-5 • MM8003 [8ch] • XMC-1 [RMC-1 wanted] • PT AT6000E • 130" Seymour Center XD • Oppo 103EU • WTB: 1 extra Mal-x 18" SW

Is it possible to estimate the total cost of their service beforehand or only after they receive the items?

You can use their "calculator" to get an estimate.. but then fedex/ups bends ya over with brokerage fees and taxes after the fact anyway. I usually just lube up and pay the bill when I get it.

I usually ship to to a place right over the border and drive down to pick it up. When the packages value is in the hundreds, it's well worth the time and gas to just get it your self.

I'd been wanting to order a set of vertical 1099s for LCR back in the fall, but they were out of stock and so ended up buying a set of PSA MTM-210 (which do sound very good). I still don't have my room back up, though will to some extent within the next two weeks, but these are so intriguing that I've preordered three

I'd love to hear comparisons between these two... The 4722's with the upgraded CD are on my short list.

I was considering the 4722Ns initially as well. I was worried that they wouldn't fit in my space so I opted for the 1099s. I've since sold the 1099s (which are great) in anticipation of these. I'd love to hear the Titans in a shootout with the QSC 2150 and the JBL 4722Ns. The JBLs are a two-way with a crossover frequency of 800hz. The QSC is a three-way with crossover frequencies of 500hz and 2200hz, which is more similar to the Titans, which have crossover frequencies of 350hz and 1900hz. I know people rave about the upgraded CDs in the 4722Ns. I've yet to hear the 4722Ns with the upgraded CDs.

What do people suggest as the recommended surrounds if using a LCR of 615LX?
Apart from using more 615LX's what about the non LX model? or the HTM12? Fusion?

Volts, HTM-10s or 12s, Fusions, 615s. They'd all work well.

The basic 615 would be awesome (over the top!), but need a bit of distance from the listeners. At least 6 ft I suppose. Next in line: Fusion 15 > Fusion 12 .. If very close: the Volts. Though the Volts will work in all situations, also for Atmos.

Mine are the Cinema 10 Max (MTM). Though in hindsight, I might have gone for the Fusion 12. Volt 10 (-ish) for Atmos.

Sad I did not get to the preorders fast enough, but I just saw these a week ago and been swamped working on finishing my theater. Any idea when the next set of pre-orders might happen? Definitely getting 3 of these built.

Mike @eng-399 - You should have the mods change the title of this thread to "Titan 615 General Discussion Thread" or something similar.

I used 4mm machine screws. I don't remember the length, but I took the waveguide in with me to the local hardware store.

lol I did the same thing I was walking around Menards with the waveguide in my hands. I used 4mm machine screws like your saying. I think the length I bought was around .75" of an inch but it was in millimeters if I remember correctly.
