Lol I know I'll get some pics of the braces and cutouts soon. My wife's been keeping me busy a ton of projects. Like putting up a ton of privacy fence putting up French doors. Plus I've been trying to get all my equipment ready for lawn season. Here's what I'll be building while working on the other 2 v3s

Yeah and that's just part of it I have to build a room for her 300 bottle wine cooler next to the equipment room plus a reading nook and another wall of book cases but she didn't complain through the whole theater build and isn't against me doing the v3s so I'm OK with it

Even with no subs, your family will be very impressed with your theater.

Seeing those bookcases has me thinking that there is a way to hide two more v3's in that library room.

"Seeing those bookcases has me thinking that there is a way to hide " . . yeah sure, probably in the mancave

who wants to read when you have 4 big@$$ subs that will school you

sell the books and build more subs . . . .

that looks like a project that gets done by writing a check
looks like a set piece from "Fraser"

! people will know you didn't/ haven't read them all and wonder what the point was . .

reminds me of the "lending library" at various Elks clubs . . a grave yard of donated stuff after the old man kicks it

"I got a fever for more SUBS".

stay the course . .

Lol you have a point I barely read any more on the other hand my wife is always reading. I think it's more she wants a quite place for when she starts med school soon even though it is the room right next to the theater lol. Good thing is she said she just wants the French doors in and the wall drywalled and than I can finish the subs before I start all the bookcases and the rest of the room.

Lol sorry it's been super slow going. All I feel like I'm doing is working from sun up to sundown. I will try to get some pictures tonight of some of the braces in after I finish some of my yards tonight. The way it's looking I will have Sunday and Monday to work on them. Looks to be raining both days so if anyone is bored and wants to do some building I'm open to help. I really wish I had finished these before the grass started growing it's killing me not seeing these done

Finally back to working on these. Wondering how much gap you would give on the edge of the speaker the I'm 18-22 is a 16.75 cutout but it's very close as you can see in the picture

You could hit the mount side edge with a roundover or bevel bit. As the cone moves outward the surround will get progressively narrower so the mount side edge is the biggest concern.

What size round over bit would you recommend something like 1/8 in

Not sure exactly. You might be able to use a larger roundover with the bit retracted into the router base. That would take off more of the diameter but less thickness. A bevel bit might work better if you have one. You could test on a scrap piece of wood to see how the bit is working.
