Yeah the IAs are almost double the weight. Unloading them out of my sealed cabs is the absolute worst.

I think you made a really good choice with these B&Cs. You'll be amazed with how much more SPL you'll get out of these with the same amps as before!

Waiting for you to build them and tell us you are super happy and that those are best subs ever so that I can just blatantly copy your build and make 4 too.

Well, you can control it via smartphone. That means no getting up from a seat. Whats not to like?
Come to think of it, I should equip my DIY subs with similar contraptions.

All joking aside, no matter which way I go with subs down the road, I will be looking for an easy solution to quickly adjust the LFE level in my dedicated theater. I prefer a healthy house curve, while my wife prefers the subs off entirely. I'm sure this won't change much when I have more firepower. I additionally tinker occasionally with levels depending on the type of music I am listening to, but generally would prefer to set it and forget it. It'd be nice to have different settings for "Me", "Wife", and "Crazy" (for showing off at GTG's). However, I won't clog up this thread anymore with my nonsense. Carry on!

Hope your daughter is doing better, good luck with the ortho today.

I'm excited for this build! I was also impressed by the fast pace, but I'm kind of glad that all of that hasn't happened in less than 24 hours or I'd feel even worse about how long my stuff takes.

Those are gonna be awesome. That 45 angle in the port though looks to choke it slightly at the bend.

How big of a difference does it make to have the 45 degree angled piece in the corner of the port like in this design? Most ports I've seen with a turn like in the port that just have a 90 degree corner where both the inside and outside corners of the right angle of the port turn are 90 degrees.

Does this help smooth out the airflow a lot? Does it help reduce port noise and chuffing?

My goal is to have a 9-10 second car when done. All over a time period and of course keep having fun with the ht hobby to.

What kind of car? I've been looking at supercharging my weekend car (if I don't sell it this spring). That'll make it only a sub-12 second car though. It's too heavy.

I'm still not sure but maybe an old school 92 or 93 mustang. I haven't even started looking yet but want something to build and have fun with so I'm open to a lot of different cars and makes. My neighbor has a 1,000 hp viper that I would love to race. What's your weekend car your having fun with.

good platform. When you get the suspension right the power is easy. absurdly fast cars are my other hobby, though I've tried to tone it down a bit.

I think it helps with air flow I see this done with a lot of boxes done by Steve Meade ''SMD'' and a few others maybe Matt would be better at explaining this than me. @mtg90

Ya it did the next two boxes I'll make that piece smaller or adjust everything so it's 3" inches from the beginning to the end of the port area. I'm going to have to measure it tonight and see how much it shrank it down to. Hopefully it won't affect to much of the port area. On the plus side to this Rob the raw mdf boxes are less than 800$ per cab.

Looks awesome. I was looking at getting a pair of subs for my upgrade and these exact drivers were the best budget decision for me. Nice to see you doing this build. 15hz would be plenty low for my wants also as I am on a suspended floor and my single sealed 15 can shake the floor pretty well.

Those boxes are huge. Will have to see how these finish and see if I can fit something similar in my living room also.
