Air shipped? That is crazy shipping unless it comes with a mail order robotic bride

It better boom or at least be able to be converted to an electric smoker...

Hmmm, thats kinda middle ground with shipping if it were my mind trying to justify. As in a significant chunk towards a real HS24 driver on sale...

Do you know how much shipping by boat would cost? If the total with shipping were under $500, it would start to look very attractive vs the UM18-22 and similar, assuming performance is as hoped.

Yea, 765 is around 500 away from an SIHS24...

Crazy, was looking at the xmax numbers of the HS and BS and overall specs, those things are absolute monsters!

Too bad the FTW21 is not readily available with 34mm xmax. The 435 per driver was ver nice in the last group buy, of course exchange rates fell in my favor

The motor on this one is supposedly 1inch bigger and 1inch deeper than even the bhs. Which is way more than $265.
It also explains why it might weigh ~25lbs more.

I'd expect boat frieght to be cheaper than air. I asked them but they ignored it or didn't understand...

If you like the driver I'm sure you could hire an english/chinese translator to get a proper sea freight quote for fairly cheap

Looking forward to your impressions on the driver.

It's generally very hard to ship one of something by boat. Boats ship containers. With an entire pallet you might find a freight forwarder willing to consolidate your shipment into a container, but one lone driver, not very likely and it's a big hassle on their end. I can understand them ignoring the request.

PS: Can we get more posts by Nick where he goes off half-cocked on someone swearing he doesn't go off half-cocked? I could use some more irony in my diet today.

I specifically asked them about sea with a MOQ of 50, and they just gave me the same air quote as the sample (times 50).

I FINALLY HAVE A TRACKING NUMBER. IT HAS SHIPPED!
Current ETA is Friday.

The boxed weight is 165.4lbs
So they lied, go figure, it's china!

Even if the box was say ~20lbs, that's still gonna be a BEAST. The LMS-18 is ~80-90lbs for example.
My back hurts already just thinking about it. LOL!

Box is 26x26x22

If the 32" had a ferrite magnet motor with close to the same strength as the neo one, it would be over 200 lbs lol. Even at 150lbs, it sucks to move around lol have fun!!!

Get a container and bring 100 over.
I'm particularly interested because I have to pay significant shipping to bring stuff from the US to NZ so this will be very cost effective for me. I would be in for 4-6 if a group buy eventuates.

Buying stuff like this and bringing it in to the USA first before shipping to NZ or OZ doesnt make sense. If anything you should get a GB and have the items shipped individually which some OEM's will do. BUT most likely that will not be the case so you would pay double shipping costs on a driver weighing 160lbs.

Happy to see how this turns out. Waiting to see the arguments it starts also.
