Has anyone used DMDC online store? Alpine SWS-15

Has anyone used DMDC Store?

I'm looking at making a couple DIY subs with the Alpine S-type 15s. I found them for a GREAT price, but am a little unsure of the merchant.

When I click the link I get a "site down" error page. I also tried dmdcstore.com and got the same.

You can always order with a credit card and if they steal your money or whatever, you can get it back from the CC company.

I'm getting that same error also. I think I'll save myself some trouble and pass on this offer. $66 for those 15" alpine subwoofers is a good deal though.

To find out if a store is a scam click the contact page if the don't list a address and phone number it's a scam. If they list an address google map it. Also if they only take western union as payment it's a scam.

That is a pretty tasty price for those Alpines. The website I found with those is yasyasstore.com. They don't have much info regarding company info or contact numbers. I tried emailing them a couple of times, but no response. I did put a pioneer sub in my cart, then got an automated response if I wanted to continue to check out... If I hear from them, I'll report back.

What kind of box would you use those in? Looks like they might work in smaller sealed boxes? That's what I'd like to do with them. Put 2 of them in a 4.5 cu. foot box dual opposed for end tables. Granite for the top. Think that would work? I'd have two end tables and 2-4 more woofers behind my TV. If the store seems sketch or the woofers need a bigger box, I'll stick to my plan of using the jbl 1214's. Thank for your feedback.

Yep. It was DMDC, but now it's yayastore. Not sure that's a good sign.
I'd like to put them in @LTD02 's cyclops 18. They model really well in those.

They'd probably do fine in sealed. I was actually thinking of that too for ease of building.

Sadly, no, I haven't heard from them. I emailed them again yesterday basically asking if they are a legit company. I'm almost begging them to take my money. Still no response this morning.

Looks pretty sketchy to me. The bottom of the Faq page has their address but when I look it up, the only businesses there are McAlisters Deli, UPS Store, Dentist and GNC. I'd suspect they use a mailbox at the UPS store.

I'd also suspect they changed names because the old scam/name was figured out.

You could always buy a $5 item first as a test.

True, but I'd rather not give them any personal or credit card info if it is a nefarious website.

I found one for just over $100 on jet.com with their 15% off coupon.

Seems like a pretty good deal.

Still no info on this site. I try to order JVC stereo and the credit card kept getting rejected. I called the UPS Store and they don't have them listed as shipping customer

Same thing happened to me when I tried placing an order. In some ways I was happy, but at the same time, my info is still out there. Too bad, I wanted to scoop a bunch up.

I would suggest checking local online sale sites. I snagged 2 practically new alpine sws-15 for $100 and a used 3000dsp for $150 all in the past month. Now I need to figure out what to do with them.

That's exactly what I have, but no progress on anything yet. I originally wanted two lilwreckers, but that will never be accepted.
My current plan is two LTD02 cyclops style ported enclosures, but there's still a little bit of me that wants sealed for ease of the build. And since my single BIC H100 was already overkill for the rest of my family, I shouldn't be hurting for output.
Mine would be 75% HT, and behind a 138" AT screen.

If I don't build two f20s to go along my front wall, I'll just use them for nearfield in a sealed/ported box.

Site has great prices but says my credit card was declined (it shouldn't be, works fine other places). Now I'm afraid they're just phishing for credit card info. Anyone have any luck or updates?

I'd probably recommend staying away. I didn't risk it and my gut says it's fishy.

I ordered from jet.com, and received it within about a week. They had a coupon for new customers at the time, but I'm not sure if that's still the case.

Probably ought to watch your CC statements...
Good luck
