Yeah when each of your surrounds has dual 18" woofers you know you are well into the crazy spectrum.

Holy Hell!!! You are awesome. Will you still have all of these set up around the same 19 inch computer monitor when you're done?

Serious question, will subs actually be necessary with this setup?

With this level of insanity, who says they won't be elevated?

I may need a road-trip to wherever these are.

Seems like you're really going only halfway here, but if you're OK leaving that much on the table, then I guess your compromised setup might be enough for some.

Yeah will be the same 19" monitor for now. It helps these seem big!

Room is small, the backs will be up against the seats more or less but I am getting my upgrades before I start working on a new house. Still in lfk

I have read mixed things regarding placement height, but the seos is just over ear level when sitting, more if reclined. I had the surrounds ceiling mounted in my last house and really liked it. Kept them out of the way, wires hidded, no stands, it was nice. Height wise, I don't think I will notice any difference, especially as loud as I watch movies lol

Regarding subs, this actually the first time I have been content with subs being off while listening to music. I still turn them on when it is time to flex a bit, but not really needed. Movies are a different story, I haven't really watched a movie without the subs. Needed or not, that ain't happening!

Edit: I do, however, plan on going through some movie material at some point with surrounds only (no subs, fronts, or center) so I can an idea of what i have/haven't been missing with traditional surrounds.

Thankfully with the addition of the .1 channel, you have no choice but to have a sub as part of the system.

When you order the surrounds , don't forget 1 more for the intercom system , shouting through one of those should be enough to scare the $#!* out of the magazine sales guy at the door , or terrify a few girl scouts into dropping boxes of cookies as they run off .

It was like that when I got here
