Wish I could have made this event, but I am already committed for a GTG the same day at a customer's home in DFW area. Looks like it should be a great time!

In REW, gating is accomplished via the IR Windows dialog (top row of buttons, left button). See the attached graphic below.

For a fixed gate, set "Right Window (ms)" to the desired value, then choose "Apply Windows". This multiplies the raw impulse response by the gating function. computes the FFT of the result, and displays it as the gated frequency response of the device under test. The impulse response and the gate (window) are displayed by choosing "Impulse" in the second row of buttons at the top.

If anyone has any amplifiers they are looking to sell and plan to attend this GTG please PM me with what you have and how much. Maybe we can make a deal at Mikes. In fact if you have anything cool or interesting let me know. Who knows.

Hey! Got room for a semi-newbie? Long time reader, only recent poster to this forum. Watched the REW class from last year's meet, and I'd love to attend this year! I'd have to fly in from out of town so I couldn't bring any equipment to demo, but I'd love to hear everyone's DIY gear and meet other enthusiasts. I'm happy to give more info about myself via PM.

Hi Bill I'll put you down on the list glad to have you over. The closest airport to my house is midway airport. Check out boilingbrook Il for hotels if your not flying back that night. I'll start looking up numbers for hotels and post them on the first post of the thread. Two exits away from my house off the expressway "I-55" has probably 30 hotels since that's a big industrial area for businesses.

The hotels are near where I live. I could possibly give transportation to some folks who are in from out of town. Let me know how I can help.

Just moved to Plainfield and planning my HT build! Would love to be a part of this and meet a neighbor. I'm coming from the 2 channel audiophile world, but have become a DIY HT convert over the last year. Hope there's room for one more!

Eng, awesome, really looking forward to it. We love moejoe's. We actually moved into the historic downtown district (near soverign and the sanctuary). Thanks for the welcome and looking forward to October!

Enders! Didn't know you were on this forum, although I should've known. It'll be good to catch up. Yeah, it's probably been 4 years.

So good I'm debating expanding the family either with another 4 x 12 box or a @eng-399 style 8 driver single box hehehehe....

Because my single 18" and that box nearfield aren't enough.... And now I've got dedicated circuits for the Crowns heheheh....

Requires a new box of course, but I am going to shoot for 12" of depth with a double front baffle, so I can put it RIGHT up against the couch.

31 tall x 72 wide x 12 depth. Internal would be 29.5 tall x 70.5 wide x 9.5 deep which would be about 11 cubic feet internal, 10 with bracing and drivers.

Then hit it within 2k of power, less than 6" behind your seat lol.

I can't use bigger drivers because of mounting depth issues, but I can use multiple drivers instead.

I've got a bunch of audio gear (subwoofer drivers, amps, speakers) that I am selling and could bring to the GTG if anyone is interested in any of it, will cut a good deal for GTG, PM me for more details.
FS: Behringer EP4000
FS: Woofers & Subwoofer drivers
FS: Unisound WP2503 Speakers + DIY Subs and Enclsoures (Some Free Stuff)

Also not in those posts I have:
JBL Venue SUB10.
Sony STR-DE197, stereo receiver with AM/FM good for shop/garage.
18" subwoofer driver prototype, looks like an SI HT-18, but uses a 12 spoke basket and different spider, can provide T/S specs if needed.
JBL 2242HPL driver, had some tears in cone which have been repaired good working order.
JBL 2245H driver, needs re-cone.
2x Dayton PA310-8 12" pro drivers.
2x B&C 8PS21-16

I will have a few new speaker designs I'll bring, namely my new AlTi 2-way budget bookshelf speakers and a DIY portable/battery powered 2-way stereo bluetooth speaker. Also another new budget subwoofer design that I will hopefully have built before the GTG. That one should be pretty interesting as it's a different design then most HT subs. Could also bring the Titan-612DC if someone was interested in seeing/hearing that. May or may not have a Volt-12 done as well.

If there is room I got clearance from the MGMT to come in.

I have Fusion 4 quads, one of each model of volt 6, and a set of HTM-12s I could bring. The HTMs would be challenging to check in as luggage but I'm sure I could figure out a way to do it.

Throwing this out there also, I'll be bringing atleast 2 JBL 8340s to the GTG but they are for sale also. a

Mpoes12 has first dibs on them but letting them go for $100 each if all 4 are purchased. They are nearly perfect shape and the grills are 100%
