@dashpuppy are the first speakers you posted horn speakers? I see a slot opening that looks like a horn.

@dashpuppy. Do you build your own amps? That's something I wouldn't mind trying in my spare time. Most kits I see are more expensive than simply buying the amp retail. Any info. you can share would be appreciated.

I sure did ! We did a HUGE HUGE groupbuy on DIYaudio about 10 years ago i still have boards left and can get more from Briangt PSU boards & through hole amp boards. I think they can be aleph minis or aleph 30's etc etc..

Simple to build put parts where part number is, comes with spreadsheet and eve part numbers to order from Digikey .ca or .com.

this is the SMD version of the Aleph mini's my favourite amp

Awesome thread. Love seeing what others have built.
Such diversity and creativity.

Here's my old NHT 1259 based subwoofer I built, to match an
audio/video cabinet project. My old sub stuck out and after bashing
my shins a few times on it, I found Sean Colin's twin tower subs on the
internet. The sub was 5/8" MDF and leftover 3/4" oak plywood, with solid oak
corners.

It also struck me funny how things change. Today the room has an AT screen
with bedliner finished mains and even bigger carpeted subs. Out of sight WAF though.

Anyone here, know if I could dye zebrawood and arrive at a finish similar to
ClantonAudio's black zebrawood finish? I actually just pulled some zebrawood
veneer out of storage today, for a digital movie poster "light box" project, and came
across this thread.

Axiom M80

Here is one of my Axiom M80's that I stripped the vinyl off of and applied Cherry veneer. Still have to color sand and spray another coat or 2 but getting close. Its been a real PITA and will take a break before tackling the other one.
