OK guys (gurus),

Here is what I get with Unibox with 3.5 cubes (21 inch cube) and 2000 watts w/minimal fill, all as suggested.

Is there anything else I need to do/know to make this turn out well?

Is this going to work OK? I am hoping I have enough excursion left to EQ the 20 Hz region well enough.

Of course I am not looking for 120 db at 20Hz, but something reasonable.
LL

You'll definitely need some EQ for down low with such a design.

That doesn't seem right... Here's what I got.

BTW, have you all noticed that TC-Sounds changed the LMS drivers T/S parameters quite heavily...?

I noticed that a few days ago... I was wondering WTF, did I enter this wrong before... lol

How well does WinISD correlate to Unibox, or which one is more accurate ?

No, I did not notice the change. I will double check my values against the web site now. Hmm. I could have easily done something wrong....

thylantyr, I was going to use an SMS-1 to EQ.

I double-checked my values and they seem like they all match the website. Although, I could have easily still screwed somthing up in Unibox!

A 21" cube with the 5400 is going to need some EXTREME construction.

I would suggest AT LEAST 1.5" walls, plenty of bracing, and seal the inside of the enclosure with fiberglass resin to completely seal the inside. Why fool around with the caulking gun when the resin gets the job done so much faster and seeps into every single nook and cranny in the box.

Don't skimp out with mounting the drivers either. Rubber washers on every bolt mounted into wood. You should be able to dunk it in the water and the drivers motor would never get wet.

They are pretty identical if you only enter Le data. But if you also enter Le2 and Re2 (only Unibox supports these), then Unibox is more accurate.

Ya, I was thinking of going up a couple of inches and doubling everything up inside and an extra layer in the front side for mounting and to allow for EXTRA bracing.

BTW, I emailed Kyle @ TC Sounds to inquire about the changes to the T/S for the LMS.

(Very Prompt) Response from Kyle:

"The TSP's up now are the most accurate. Yes, they have changed, but the driver did too form the original spec (never released), we originally measure the driver with a very thin aluminum cone which has less mass. The way the TSP's came out the first time reveals a lower mass load which lowered the Q to 0.2-ish and also that measurement was not as accurate as the new one, with the new Ti cone, the LMS-5400 has a Q in the 0.3's which is actually a little more forgiving. Even with this huge difference in relative Q, the modeled alignments for the driver don't change all that much because the mass was already pretty heavy and the BL did not change."
