My tolerance for putting up with the insecure, immature idiots has been exceeded. I have removed all my posts and will now take my project private. Thanks to all that gave me support and constructive advice. To ALL of the others... you will NOT be missed. BYE, BYE...

So...I think you now have the most displacement of anyone on AVS. Insane.

And there is no way you'll need more than three 3602s.

Dude where are you located?!?

Please, for the love of the bass gods say that it is somewhere in the southern United States. Man I would drive for a few days just to hear this sub in action.

That's what I was thinking. You definitely won't need 24 000 W to keep up with the current mains.

Looks crazy though.

You could easily power those with EP2500's if you wanted to, the 3602's are a nice way to go, but more than that and you will bottom out your drivers without batting an eye.

The room looks kind of small to require 50 kW of power. Good luck though.

Lots of overkill here, thats good, I dunno if you will dream of needing that much amp power, you realize that per speaker they are using MUCH MUCH MUCH less amp power? I have begun building my new mains, and right now with just two 5' towers powered with 9600watts total, I can drive myself out of the house. Eventually the design will be quadrupled for outdoor concerts but with just my 1/4 design, I can already push my system well past OSHA standards from 20' away outside.

I was planning on using 9 x QSC 3602's and 3 QSC PL380's. The total system would have 12 x 18's, 20 15's and 12 x 6.5's plus a horde of horns. Total system power will be 50kw. We are having an additional 200amp service run into the house just for the HT. I am using the flagship theater of Empire cinemas in Leicester Square, London in the UK as my measuring stick. I have read that it is one of the best sounding and most sonically powerful commercial cinemas in the world. They are using 5 JBL 4632-t arrays... I will only have 3. They have 16 18' subs... I will only have 12 18's. They have 42 JBL 8340's... I will have only have 12. They are powering their system with 56kw.... I will only have 50kw. They are using DBX Driverack 4800's... I will start with DBX Driverack 260's but later upgrade to 4800's. I chose to use QSC amps instead of Crowns because I heard MANY times from people in the pro equipment business that the QSC's were more reliable. Below is a picture of their baffle wall. I have to take the HF/MF array off of the LF section and put it beside the HF/MF because they are 8' feet tall. This will allow them to fit behind the new SMX 166" AT 2:35 screen I will be getting. I will be using "Sandmanx"'s theater as my reference for aesthetics. Unfortunately my room layout will not allow for a close copy due to the slanted cathedral ceiling but I will do the best I can with what I have at this time...

Pretty cool...

Your amp rack might look like this.

You want headroom? That is simply overkill, I mean really. Your drywall is going to be pulverized into powder.

This reminds me of a car audio show I went to ten years ago. It was when Cerwin Vega first introduced their Stroker series woofers. They had something like 8 or 12 18" woofers in a full size van. Don't get me wrong, I am a basshead but when they turned it up I could not approach the van any closer than 100 feet. It was painful.

A 6000 cubic foot HT room is a lot different than a van though, it will be overkill no doubt, but he will have solid single digit extension, who here can honestly claim that?

I see nothing wrong with 12 18"ers, I plan on using 16 RL-p18's when I have the room.

They will figure it out eventually. The best part about being a "she", in this regard, no one can claim you are compensating for something ...
