9 Wiring Disasters
By CE Pro Editors
An electrician leaves a jungle of wires and more wiring nightmares.

Is it good or bad that we continually round up bad wiring jobs?

While they're fun to look at, it sometimes show the lack of diligence shown by some in the industry.

We're always looking for terrible wiring jobs. If you come across one, snap a photo, write a short description, and send it to scrowe@ehpub.com.

Sports Bar's Worst Nightmare
The original installation at Spectators Sports Bar and Grill was so poorly completed business suffered as customers went elsewhere to watch games. Avitel cleaned up the job with Middle Atlantic racks to properly house the 13 DirecTV H-21 HD satellite receivers, two Motorola cable boxes, and Samsung DVD1080P9 DVD player.

This seems to be a rerun. I've seen most of these before. Hmmmm.

EDIT - Yeah that sports bar one has seen it's share of playtime on CEPro.

I hope these pictures can be a lesson for people who love "deals" and "cheap installation cost". Unfortunately CEPro is just preaching to the choir.

These types of article should be shown in regular newspapers, magazines etc for the general public to see.

Showing them here is a step in the right direction, except many (most?) forum members here are DIY.

I will continue to DIY until I can shell out the money for pro's. I certainly see the value they provide, it just doesnt fit in to my budget (and won't for a while, but when it does...)

As a DIY'er it will never fit into your budget, no matter how much money you have.
