Now that summer is almost here, thought I would start a movie list for outdoor "movie night". This is a partial list, but I'm sure others out there can fill in the gap. My choices are:
It's got stunningly beautiful PQ, an animated and well-mixed 5.1 soundtrack, an interesting story line, and is rated G so we won't mind if there are a few younger viewers. And since we can't start the main feature until around 9:00 PM here thanks to the late sunset, it's short enough to be over before 11:00 PM.
Anyone in the Myrtle Beach-Charleston SC area who would like to attend, you are invited. PM me for details.
Although nothing is set in stone, we are starting with Meet The Robinsons (most of the local kids are very young, and this is a pretty good to great Disney movie with a heart of gold that not a lot of people saw, I think.
We typically do a movie the night of my daughter's birthday - and this year will likely be "Enchanted."
I know this isn't exactly in line with the OP's picks, but this is our clientele.
Last year, I really wanted to have a "Casino Royale" night, but it never came together.
Now, we just need summer to get here in Chicago (let alone Spring - I swear we had a return to winter the last few days, although today showed some promise for things to come...)

I know, this has been killing me! We have quite a few Chicago folks, and this "Spring" (if you can call it that) has been no fun at all. Let's bring on the global warming already!
The last week of June we are going to have a Sideways /wine party (weather permitting, of course). Everyone brings a bottle of wine and appetizer to share with the other guests.

Ah yes, good ol' Sideways. That was filmed just north of here in Santa Ynez. Sounds like a lot of fun! I plan on having a 30th "Animal House" anniversary toga party! No toga - no admission!
The plan is to have a "mixer" earlier, then start the movie after dark. The release date is coming up this July. This will probably be poolside at an exclusive condo complex. Need to get the HOA OK on this. Who would turn this down??!!
National Treasure 2 sounds like a good one! Thanks for the idea.
