Need help picking a good projector!

I am trying to find a good projector to play movies out in the backyard that will give a good picture. Go out and watch a couple movies a month and maybe play some video games with some friends. I am on a budget so I am trying to find one from 300-450. I am having a hard time finding one that just sticks out because so many different models and brands so I thought I would see if I could get any advice, it would be great. I have looked at some that I am not sure about BenQ MX522, Optoma DW326e, BenQ MX503, BenQ MW663, ViewSonic PJD5533W, Optoma H180X. So if you could tell me if these are any good or if I should go with a different projector it would be great!

I just purchased an epson 730hd from amazon for 499.99. 3000lm, 720p with hdmi input. I have only used it a few times but I am very happy with it for my back yard.

The 730HD is an excellent projector if 3D is not a concern. If you are interested in 3D, then the Optoma HD180 is a great buy at the same price from Amazon. I have the HD66, which is the 2500 lumen version and it looks incredible outdoors.

Yeah I was thinking of trying 3D out and I was looking at the Optoma H180X that looked pretty good. Do you think the couple extra pixels you would get from Optoma W303 or BenQ MW663 be worth it. The Optoma H180X does have a better contrast ratio though. So do you think out of those three just go with the Optoma H180X or no? Just want to make sure to get a good bang for the buck.

I can't speak to the W303 or the BenQ. What I see is more $ for not anything mind alteringly better. The BenQ has a lower contrast ratio as well. I have friends who have the H180X amnd they love it. The only reason I don't upgrade is that my HD66 has just 126 hours on the unit - lamp & projector. I have a 4000 lumen Panasonic PT-F300U that I can use if I need more lumens. It is an XGA (1024 x 768) projector with only 600:1 contrast, but it puts out an incredible picture. For a once & done purchase, I think the 180X would be a good unit for you.

OOPS! - My bad on the contrast ratio statement. I saw 1300:1 , not 13,000:1.
