Help Me Get This Patio Setup Right

I have a deck off the main floor of a new home, and a walkout patio off the basement. My plan is to put 1 Klipsch CP-6 speaker on the deck, and another one on the patio. Both speaker wires will come back to the main floor living area. In the living room, I just use an Onkyo sound bar for TV sound. I have an extra Onkyo 605 sitting around, so I'm thinking of using that as the power to my two outdoor Klipsch CP-6 speakers. I want the following components to send sound to the speakers from time to time:

DirecTV Genie Mini
Panasonic Bluray Player
AppleTV
Nintendo Wii

Here are my questions:

1. Should I connect the speaker wires into the front left and front right jacks on the Onkyo 605, or the zone two jacks, or some combination? Will it matter if I use some mixture of RCA cables, component cables, and optical and hdmi cables from the components?

2. Should I use this setup for each component into the Onkyo 605?
DirectTV Genie Mini - Component/RCA cable
Panasonic Bluray Player - Component/RCA cable or optical
AppleTV - optical
Nintendo Wii - optical

3. If I use that configuration, will the sound work with front speakers and/or zone 2? would I need to set the receiver to 2-channel stereo?

Any/all knowledge is appreciated!

I just saw this post searching for outdoor speakers (I'm getting ready to install some).

If you're just going to use this receiver for the outdoor speakers alone I would wire them into zone 1. It sounds like you have two speakers (one for each area). If so, I'd wire them for mono or if your receiver is capable it could output mono to each speaker. If you hook them up left/right you would only hear part of the audio from each speaker.

The mixture of inputs shouldn't matter. I have a Denon with a FireTV (HDMI), Wii (RCA), and Bluray (HDMI) with no issues.

Klipsch RF-82II

Denon 2113ci
