A few years back I purchased a DVI Input board for my G90 that was mentioned here (I think Palme or something like that) and it's been working beautifully for my older HD unit.

I've finally gotten a bluray system setup on the g90 along with a newer HD Sat unit and was trying to view it at 1080P instead of 1080i. And two things came up, first I'm not converged for it yet, and I can get that fixed but the other is that it's not far off but I see a lot of green snow on the output.

So a few questions, is that also due to the convergence? Or is this just too high a rate for that run of the DVI boards? I see now there's an HDMI board available will I need to upgrade to that?

thanks,

-R

I bet you need a better cable. how long is the distance from source to the Input card?

probably close to 30 feet, but it's a pretty highquality cable I've got in already.

if you can bring the Blu Ray player close to the PJ and run a short cable just to test it.
30 feet is kinda long.

My cable run is 35 feet and I have seen green sparkles with my G90 at 1080p that are not present at lower resolutions. Indeed, using a shorter cable to test showed no sparkles. For me, cables from Blue Jeans Cable have worked very well.

no you don't need to but the new card is vastly superior. Gamma boost, 12 bit processing, HDMI 1.3 color space, etc.
