The Girlfriend is a bit annoyed with my projector addiction and I am running out of room to keep all my toys, so it is time to clean house of my Sony projectors and interface electronics.

I have two VPH1272's and one 1271 and a road case and some line doublers and various other goodies that make them usable with old school 3D and HDMI connections. I have manuals for most of the stuff.

I could just take them to the scrap yard but they are in excellent condition with low hours. One 1272 has less than 300 original hours on it!

I would like to see if they are worth advertizing to sell either here or elsewhere. It looks like if I advertize them here, I can only put one item per ad. That would be a lot of ad's.
I dont know if I can sell them as a package deal, or link to a web page that would have all the info and images, or is it even worth the effort?

Try videogon.com or Ebay if unsure what they're worth. Let the market decide.

It's free. biggest problem is the freight on those would be more than they're worth so you need a local buyer. Craigslist is your best bet, you might get a couple hundred bucks each for them.
If not it will have to go to electronics recycling which is a shame but not many people looking to build a home theater in this economy. I'm helping a friend build one next week and we're installing an NEC 6PGX he bought for $150. locally from a HT shop (runco 980).

Thanks, It is a good thing I did not know about Videogon before, otherwise I would probably have a dozen projectors and no girlfriend. I may give them a try, or maybe just the ebay method, Freight will be expensive, and my best bet would be to offer free delivery within a short range if the selling price is enough to make it worth it.

It will be a nice setup for a beginner who has a strong back, a understanding Girlfriend and wants to play with some old school equipment.

Id rather have the dozen or so projectors and no girlfriend....

As nice as it is to have one and not having one for a few years after a divorce then having one again now for 3 streight years....I can tell you.....

Its more fun not to have the girlfriend and a buch of electronic toys even if they just lay around not getting use...they dont bitch and complain and spend your money!

But back on subject. No one wants CRT any more and you just about have to give them away. I just abiout gave away my old mint DWIN just to get it out of here.

The parts arent even worth what they were back in the day. I craigslisted mine and had a few bites but no one was serious enought to relaly pull the trigger. I ebayed it and found a guy that already had one and was looking for a 2nd.
