I've been working on a non-profit school project lately, trying to save a few bucks we've bought 3 of the cheapest LED projectors we could possibly find. We got them to read and play (a few) video file formats off a USB stick or an SD card, but we'd definitely need some more compatibility. We haven't managed to get them work connected to the VGA ports of the school netbooks we're using (a few asus eee pc 1005
s and 2 asus eee pc 1215
) which would be the simplest solution.
This is the projector we bought:
Some description of the device:http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-Portable-Multimedia-LED-LCD-Mini-Projector-Desk-Type-10-45-Display-AV-in-Vi-/280930507268
The cables we tried were:
the 3.5 jack of this one goes in the projector's AV in:
this is connected to this one:
which is finally connected to the eee pcs.
Sorry I don't really know what the cables are called.
Do you think we can get it to work in any way? Either by buying some other cables or some decoder?
We really don't mind the video quality, the 640*480 resolution it's supposed to have is just enough, it's just supposed to project short videos, cartoons for kids and slide-shows.
