My trusty M8500 decided to let us down on Christmas just as we were about to start our traditional viewing of Die Hard.
The green convergence was way off (horizontally) and the red was off horizontally (and vertically at different times, IIRC). These errors would shift with a bit of vibration, so it must be bad contacts, right? I popped the hood and started shaking boards and cables to find where the intermittent connections were and voila, all was in alignment again. I put the cover back on (which required a bit more force than would be desirable) and the problem returned. Sigh.
So, does this sound like a contact problem to those of you who know what they are doing (unlike myself). If so, then what cable or connector is the likely culprit?
Thanks for any advice!
