got a decent audio 5.1, and I am now looking to put a projector/screen into my basement 5.1 theater room (currently using a 42 inch TV). Sorry, I am a true novice when it comes to projectors/screens.
-basement room, 12 x 22 (9.5 foot celing). So the room is a dark as I want it! I intend to mount the projector on a support beam which is 9 feet up, which is 12 feet from the wall wear the screen will sit.\
-Screen/wall is 12 foot long x 9.5 high (no windows or "other" on that wall). Probably looking for a 100 inch screen
-budget $1000-1200 for projector and screen. I really don't think I need a acoustically transparent screen.
-seating will be 10-12 foot from the screen
-100% Tv/movies, no games. Want 3D.
Suggestions on a projector/screen? Best quality I can get for the budget I have! Thanks in advance, I just don't know what makes a good projector or screen!
