I am about to try to center the rasters on my NEC XG-75. But the menus do not dim with the contrast control, so the menu test is overwhelming when looking directly at the phosphor. Is there an easy way to dim this text?
Sunglasses sound like a good idea, thanks. I am having another problem though. When I go to raster centering in the menus, it only gives the option of vertical centering for all three crts together. Pressing ctl-R (or ctl-G or ctl-B) does not work as it says it should in the manual. I don't have this problem with the other convergence settings. The model number is XG-751.
Thanks, cheez. I have the PC control software also; I suppose that would work.
I found out the answer to my other question after some searching. Looks like I will just need to enter the service password and restart the projector.
