While we're figuring this out, I'm serious Vince. The sun is about to come up over there. How are you gonna sell those CRT projectors in a few hours with bags under your eyes. Get a glass of bitters or warm beer and get some sleep.
And stay out of that rhutabaga pudding. That stuff will give you nightmares.

Unfortunately in-experienced members may have the misfortune to to read raster's speculations that he insinuates as fact.

Fortunately their are some members who have monitored (Clarence, techman707, etc.) this and have corrected some of the mis-leads so unfortunate souls don't make the mistake of seeing someone with a high posting tally and assume that he/she knows what their talking about.

My hat's off to those who can bear the pain of it all. Maybe one of you should add your raster correction/adjustment skills to your sig file. I mean it IS a crt forum, right?:D

I think I can vouch for that with a high level of expertise. I mean that part about a high post count not meaning a poster knows what he's talking about. :)

To all Gurus:

Since you've been very helpful to us PC illiterates in this thread, can you please explain this.

Ever since forum member wanman left us, his post count was reported at being 10,000. Now it's 9996.

Since wanman is no longer amongst us we won't be able to ask him
for an explanation. How might he have lost 4 posts?

Just a guess, Bob....but I'd imagine he either deleted 4 posts before he left or when the moderators nuked a thread he was in, it deleted 4 posts.

Just a guess.

Edit: Imagine how many posts you'd have, Bob, if all those threads you killed hadn't been nuked. :D

Happy New Year, everyone.

Well I entertained that possibility too. But then The Ferret said emphatically in the now defunct raster thread "I am not wanman".
Vincent says he's not Heat. Koos says he's not QQQ. Bruce Wayne says he's not Batman. And now The Ferret says he's not wanman.
Who are all these people?

I've always wondered how some of you guys could rack up astronomical post-counts. Mystery solved.

Now, I realize what made the post-counts so unbelievable was that I was under the mistaken impression that unlike Raster, most of your posts were primarily useful information. Still, somehow this thread is priceless and I've enjoyed it immensely. Thanks for the entertainment.

But Heat, QQQ, Batman and The Ferret are surely not names that any sensible person would ever name his or her children. In fact, if I had either one of those names I would expect to have much difficulty going through life. Can you imagine what it must have been like in their grade school classes when the teacher called on "QQQ"? Or "Batman"?

Yes, it could but I must say, I do find it interesting that virtually everybody else in the world is reporting American casualties in the tens of thousands .
Let's put it this way. Over the past few years I have come to realize that All major media outlets in America are nothing more than arms of the government. It's fake news. It's what I used to think Russia and China was. I now understand American propaganda works the same way.

Did I cross the line? Sorry but this is projector related as I watch the fake news on my projector.:D

I'll stop now!

Following this with great interest and anticipation...... the CRT wagons circled, and them crazy digital injuns lurking over yonder hill, whoopin' and a hollerin' ...............

Given that the thread has been a paragon of accuracy thus far, I hope it isn't churlish to point out that the Iraqi Information Minister was Muhammed Saeed al-Sahaf, pictured here

http://www.welovetheiraqiinformation...7-minister.jpg

tagged "Comical Ali", a paragon of truth and accuracy.... :D .

Tariq Aziz was the Deputy Prime Minister.
