My wife calls it Evidence Exhibit A...
I'm not sure if she's prepping for a murder trial, divorce court, or my institutionalization.

She knew something was up tonight when I took her SUV instead of my Wrangler... I never drive her car unless I need to haul something too big for my Jeep.

All of my neighbor buds that are used to helping me unload these beasts are sleeping, but I want to haul this thing in and set it up.

I set it up a few weeks ago at a new buddy's house... he's got this G90's twin sister. In 30 seconds I knew I had to have a G90. I'm also helping him set his up... an upgrade from his D50.

These G90's look SCHWEEEEEEEEEET!

Awesome, Clarence! Good for you. I simply ask in return that you let Pete borrow it while I'm in Huntsville. Secondly, please inflate your purchase price at least five times. Please don't tell us you traded it for a packet of beans or a six pack.

Great news. I guess this is going in your theater? Hope it fits in your cutouts. Theater looks great, BTW

You don't want to know how much and I won't tell. But I sold a few off of my pile last month... a set of new tubes, an Ampro 4200, and a Barco 1208s/2.

Hours are 5K. I actually blew off even checking it out initially. But since it was local (8 miles away!) I figured I'd check it out to see how toasty it was.... this baby has been babied. I haven't removed the lenses yet and I know the LC hides some wear, but with the bright LED light on my keychain I barely see minimal, even wear through the lenses... 8+.

It certainly won't fit in the ceiling recess mount that I sized for the Marquee 8xxx/9xxx, but it's definitely going on my HT ceiling.

Thank you for not telling.

Clarence, after seeing a 2.35 setup tonight, I enthusiastically recomend looking at adding a masking system that can switch b/w 16:9 and 2.35. Hi def looked fine until they switched to cinema scope. Simply awesome.

Oh, I'll be in Huntsville in january...

If you saved enough, then you can have Chuchuf do a calibration for you. He is supposed to be in the area in the near future. Hell, you may even need to spring for one of his Torus screens.

Hey, congrats Clarence! Lucky dog :D
I have an almost perfect 10PG going on the ceiling soon....3rd one I've had and keeping this one! In my opinion, THE most under rated pj of all!
The ONLY "next" pj for me will be a G90..........

Have fun with the beast and I for one am looking forward to all the pics you'll post :)

Yep... when I saw MP's post this morning about Terry swinging through this neck of the woods on the same day I was picking up my G90, I knew it must be fate. After seeing Ken W work his pro magic on Cliff's G70, I'm a firm believer in the value of a pro calibration.

U2 was a great show! We saw them in Pittsburgh on Saturday with friends. The G90 seller actually left a voicemail for me while I was driving to the concert and asked if I could come pick it up... I was stressing out that he might think I was blowing him off and not interested, but we managed to coordinate our schedules for today.

Yes,

Very well done.....

Shame about the ceiling mount..... :(

I see now why you let the 1208s/2 go .... At the time I thought you were MAD!

Its picture was fantastic.

But to give it up for a G90 - well thats a good reason ;)

All the best......

If you have any more tubes I could help contribute to the second G90 you will want im sure :D

Bringing Rodan-O-Blend to you.

Clarence, I don't suppose you have in your vast supply of projector parts, a set of HD-10L's. I'd like to know if a G-90 could do a 72 inch diag 4:3 screen with a maximum distance from the screen to the rear of the projector being ten feet. The 4600HD does it no problem and it's quite long.

Chip

Current owner of the last/best AmPro on the planet. The mighty 4600HD, and it's still running...better than Barco's, especially southern ones.

Chip,

Does that mean that the front of the Ampro is 4 feet from the screen?

Congrats Clarence. Did you purchase the G90 from the guy that I had PM'ed you about? I did not go check it out since I did not have the cash at the time but don't forget to invite me for a viewing once you set it up. :)

Thanks Allen. Yes, this is the same one that you saw the local ad for.

It's going to be floor mounted for a few days while I figure out the exact throw distance I want.

It came with both halves of the ceiling mount. But it's definitely not going to fit in the recess. I'll likely end up doing unistrut and flush mounting it.

Chip, it's got the standard HD-10F lenses. They're in perfect condition.
