My brother purchased a pair for T1's from his friend and needs an amp. I'm a real noob when it comes to car stereo equipment and would like to know if anyone could suggest a good amp that can power these speakers. Thanks.

How do I figure out the final ohm? I'll try googling to find out.

What is the exact model of the speakers? If I remember correctly they are sold as either dual 2-ohm or dual 4-ohm drivers. That is all the information that is needed. Also, for a legitimate recommendation, the budget would be helpful.

The model # is T112D2
Dual 2 Ohm
600 Watts RMS
1200 Watts Peak

Would just like a good amp that is going to power these subs nicely and that is built to last. Would have to get back to you on budget, could you suggest a few in several price ranges?

Budget model:

Hifonics Brutus 1608

Hifonics Brutus 2008

I don't know where there is an authorized dealer for this brand. I've never personally run them, but I know a ton of people that have and have been very happy. For the price, this amp would be very tough to beat. Unfortunately, with two dual 2 ohm subs, you'll only be able to wire to a 2-ohm final load. The 1608 will push 1100 watts at that impedance (which is slightly less than the pair of subs can handle) and the 2008 will push 1300 (which is slightly more than the subs can handle - a bit extra head room is a good idea though).

Higher-end model:

Sundown 3000D

I'm running this amp in my car currently, and I can't say enough good things about it. I don't think I'll be changing this one out any time soon. Also, that link is to an authorized retailer.

If the budget ends up being in between these options, let me know and I'll get back to you with some more ideas.
