Hi I have a 1997 Toyota Corolla Sedan, my car isn't the best there is, but I wanted to be able to listen to music in it through my iPhone. So I decided to buy a new stereo system for my car. What is a good stereo system that can get the job done and hook up to my iPhone? My budget is around $50-100 THANKS!!!

I am assuming it was a typo and you meant 500-1000 bucks.
I looked up your car on crutchfield. The speakers are going to be a pain as they are small and shallow mounts for the most part. The amplifiers I chose are not a necessity. you can use the head unit to run the interior speakers but bear in mind that the amplifier will be cleaner and more powerful. Also don't let the brand fool you. same amp board as the Arc audio mini amps. If you don't know arc, they are a high end brand. If it sounds to good to be true, PM me and I will explain how and where amps are made and in the case of Arc, who makes the amps and also other companies tht use the same boards. I picked a Phoenix gold sub of the 12" variety. I have a lot of experience with thee subs. A real nice bang for the buck. Good output and sound quality. A prefab sealed enclosure. The sub amp is a mono block amp again of the Vibe family. lots of clean power, efficient on your electrical system etc... Plus it matches for cosmetics. The sub and amps are the type that you will keep when you get rid of your car. Amp wiring kit will provide for two amps. its a clean looking set up. I have used several of these in various installs. Good for the money.

Total price-905 dollars.

Only things missing will be stage height and midbass impact.

Things to leave out. not sure of your listening preferences or levels. But leave out the 4 channel amp to save the 180 bucks. Hard to beat the sub amp price for power and quality so I wouldn't change that. You can swap a smaller or cheaper sub, but really the one I picked out is also hard to beat as it was a 300 dollar sub before it was discontinued.

Head unit that meshes well with iphone and plays Pandora

Hey one question about the receiver, when it says iPod ready it means I can switch music with my iPod correct? I don't have to use the controls on the console? Because I REALLY don't want to switch music with my radio..

I honestly can't answer. I understand your question but I use an Alpine and it has to be changed via the head unit. Also with an Iphone, it might change the interface. Call Crutchfield.
