I recently purchased a Kenwood Excelon KDC-X995 receiver for my 2005 Chevy Silverado. Now I want to replace the factory speakers. Its a regular cab short bed truck with 6.75" speakers in the doors, & 4x6" speakers in the rear pillars. I was looking at the kenwood excelon series speakers, but from the reviews I've read they are very bright, and have a sensitivity of 86. I don't plan on running an external amp or sub, and perfer a warmer sound. So...., I'm hoping someone here can recomend some speakers that arn't very hard to drive, maybe 92 sensitivity area, have a warm sound and are of decent quality that would pair well with a Kenwood reciever, that is not using a seperate amp & sub.
I also was considering the Focal Access 165CA1 for the doors, but they don't have any 4x6's to fit the rear pillars??
anyway, what would you guys go with, or what else should I consider???
