Do you own the subwoofer already?

Yes, I go to school at Eastern!! I have the stock stereo, however, I plan on upgrading to a stereo with a sub preamp output. I don't have the subwoofer or anything yet.

What are you wanting to achieve?
Predominate music you listen to?

I ask because i would hate to recommend an ultra low distortion sub and you want to listen to rap and shake the neighborhood and the flip side I recommend a high output configuration and you want in car flat response for the low octaves of a string bass.

Bass in a car is the ultimate in ease. If you want a compromise, something that sounds good and yet moves air then I can recommend that as well.

Hatchback car?

I want nice clean bass that you can feel. However, I don't want the boomy sound I hear from "gangsters" since I don't listen to rap that much. I like artists like jack johnson and semisonic.
