My DVD player plays great and has worked well for 4 years. All of a sudden, I get no sound from the left side when playing DVD movies. It is the same when using the radio, wireless headphones, or headphone jack on the side of the unit. If I turn the volume way up, I hear the audio through the left but it is very soft with a lot of static. Would this be a part failure within the unit, or has something been changed some way in the setup? I have checked and rechecked the connections. The only wires used are for the dome light and power(red/blk trace, blk/red trace, red, and black) It is meant to work wireless only. The unit is an Audiovox MMD85A.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.
