I have a mini-computer media center in the car with audio going to the aux input of the factory radio. The sound quality is fine but I have to turn the radio way up for it to be loud enough. I've read this is a common problem with ipods and other devices. I need a small amp that runs off 12V or USB powered that will just give it a little boost before going to the aux input. Any advice?

A couple I was looking at are:
Boostaroo (USB powered)

Phono turntable preamp (12V power)

Would those work? Is there something better I should get?

In case anyone wants details, the car is a Toyota Sienna and the media center is XBMC running on a raspberry pi.
