Bought this from a friend of mine worked great in there car but when i installed into my mazda 3 2006 i barely hear anything. I mean i can hear little bass but whenever i turn up the music the bass doesnt go up.The subs doesnt vibrate but when i put my hand on it i can feel it vibrate.
2 12inch alpine type r in box
mono JL 1800watt amp
0 ga wiring
i recently plug another small sub that work to the amp and still sound the same as the one i have right now.

Just a vid to show how it sound like. at volume 18 anything louder the bass will stay the same.

What head unit?

Does the head unit you are using have a high pass filter and is it on?

Since you tried with another amp, I believe its the head unit.

I watched the video and could you try another sub? Just to rule out speaker issue. Make sure the lo pass is set to 200 in this instance of trouble shooting. It looks like it could be at 80 or 40 hertz@24db/octave.

And turn off the bass boost. Makes the amp work harder and clip faster.

correct...and it looks from the picture anyway, that you have one wire in + and the other wire in +....and nothing in either of the - slots.
